The Sunshine Gift Shop is located at the entrance to Tower B (Deacon Street entrance).
The Sunshine Gift Shop has a reputation for providing unique merchandise - much of it is Canadian sourced. You can find clothing, sleepwear, babywear, footwear, giftware, jewellery, watches, purses, accessories, flowers, snacks and sundry items at the gift shop.
If planning to rent a television for a patient, the gift shop is the place to complete the required paperwork. Cost of a television rental is $10/day (including tax); $60/week or $150 for a month's rental. Payment can be made by cash, debit, credit card or with a PRH gift card. This service can also be activated by calling the gift shop at (613) 732-2811 extension 6180. A credit card is the required method of payment for phone activations. This service is non-refundable.
Television slips are picked up at 1 p.m. daily. After 1 p.m., televisions will not be turned on until the following day.
Patients will be provided with headphones and a TV guide.
For 53 years, the Auxiliary hosted an annual fall tea at the Marguerite Centre, but as with all events, the need to modernize and revitalize provided us with the opportunity in 2014 to make significant changes resulting in the scheduling of two fashion shows per year. These were put on pause during the pandemic and resumed in 2023.
